Make A Difference for KidSmart on August 8!

When you come to our Giveback Tuesday events, you’ll enjoy delicious, handmade Italian food and make a difference in your community at the same time! We’ll be donating the profits from Tuesday, August 8, at our Ballpark Village location to KidSmart. This nonprofit organization provides free school supplies and educational resources to underprivileged students throughout the St. Louis region.

Twice a month, we’re proud to feature a local nonprofit charity and donate 100% of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the organization. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $369,067.00 to nonprofit organizations here in St. Louis.

Funds raised from Giveback Tuesday will go toward distributing free school supplies and providing free educational resources. Through KidSmart, students in need receive essentials like crayons, glue, markers, notebooks, and pencils.

This nonprofit organization, founded in 2002, equips kids through its programs.

• The KidSmart Free Store is the only free educational supply store in Missouri.
• The KidSmart On the Go! truck takes services on the road and to classrooms.
• Push for Pencils, Push for Change is the largest school supply drive in Missouri, collecting more than 500,000 brand-new school supplies at its community drop-off locations each year. Just $25 equips a student with $125 in free school supplies.
• Members of the Annual Giving Club give a box filled with free school supplies to a local classroom in need.
• Head of the Class is an exclusive donor circle at $1,000 and higher, and members receive invitations to various exclusive events throughout the year.
• Teachers from schools in high poverty communities are able to drive through once a month. Volunteers load up their cars with thousands of school supplies to equip students in their classrooms.

There are 90,000 St. Louis area students living at or below the poverty level and attending high-poverty schools. KidSmart serves 90,000 students in 204 schools each year. To date, KidSmart has donated $85 million in free school supplies!
